Whew! This took me a couple days to do-- I was actually finished yesterday, but I kept erasing the hair and repainting it. No matter what I did, it just looked so flat! Many tutorials later, and many experiments with funky colors later, and I agreed just to disagree with myself. Painting this actually presented many new challenges for me-- such as, actually painting hair an not cheating by sketching the texture under the colors! Also, it's very hard to draw anatomy around 4 eyes! It totally changes the shape of the face, and thus shading.

Also, can we talk about how freaking cool Rainbow Quartz is? She's a beautiful 80s alien goddess! I knew I had to paint her at some point lol. This came out more or less how I wanted her too-- like a glittery retro giant woman. I mistakenly interpreted her colors as being tan-ish and blonde-- I think that's somewhat right, but the mood lighting in the scene really confused me. In addition, I did not color her eyes correctly-- that is, Pearl and Rose's eye colors. I was so focused on making them look like actual Rainbow Quartz that I forgot.

None the less, I had SO MUCH fun painting this!! I'm afraid that my eagerness to share with you all made me rush lol.
