The fact that the opening got leaked helped RWBY in a way. The leaked opening acted like a trailer...It promoted RWBY back to the fandom.The only ones being cheated here are the guys who went to Pax just for RWBY.

I think thats just his public appearance. Im sure he had something planned to show everyone it like a Production diary or something and then it got spoiled. Frankly, Im not gonna watch some stolen footage. If Monty posts it himself, fine then.

It's the opening to RWBY volume 2; I'm pretty sure he's planning on showing it at somepoint. Probably with the first episode like he did with Volume 1. RoosterTeeth always show stuff early at panels they do at different cons, then post it later on. They also premiered another episode of Immersion at their PAX panel, which will probably come out fairly soon. It's not exactly stolen footage, especially since Monty himself has pretty much said "It's good to know you guys are that desperate to see our stuff and are willing to watch it via potato, so go for it. We'll show it officially later, but for now just settle with potato footage. Just be discrete about it."Β
