Alpinock the mountain-top Pokemon (One of the starters)
Type: Fighting/Ice
Ability: Combat altitude - Strengthens Fighting-type moves in a pinch.
Hidden ability: Sheer Force
Evolves at Level 20 from Clynock
Evolves at Level 38
If Clynocks are close to evolving they challange each other to climb the highest mountains. Due to the cold conditions on mountains they adapt and take in the coldness. Flocks of Alpinocks like to ram and kick each other to gain the highest possible position. This seems brutal to outsiders, for them it's just a game. They are more docile than many people think. If tired they generate small snow piles in which they burrow themselves and sleep.
Note from Professor Arolla: Due to the colder climate of the Ostrik region Ice Pokemon don't seem to be affected from water type moves. Only exception is the move Scald.
