Saltin (like salting)

Type: Rock/Dragon

Ability: Slush Rush/Salty Crust - It's salty crust makes it resistent to ice and make its rock type moves super effective against ground type Pokemon.

Hidden ability: Sheer Force

Evolves from Applin(Ostrik form) by learning Rock Polish

After learning how to shape the salt crystal it lives in, Ostrik Applins become much faster.

Unlike their prevolution Saltins live most of the time outside of caves high in the mountains. Some of them use the salt crystals on their feet to melt the snow and ice underneath a bit to be able to glide fastly through the mountainside. Other ones prefer using their salty parts to fend of the ice and ground type Pokemon in its surrounding.

But after all Saltins are very content and good natured Pokemon. Saltins feed on salt rocks which can be found on and in some mountains in Ostrik. Once a year they retreat to their home caves to renew their salty rock parts, because with every battle and with every use of them, they melt a little or wear off.

Signature Move:

Last Asalt - Uses all its Salt Crystal to hardly hit the enemy. The user looses its Rock type till the end of the battle.
