Every now and again we'll encounter something that is unexpected. A side effect or a reaction that we simply couldn't predict or have expected. We're beginning to notice some issues both with subjects who have undergone a large number of treatments, and those who have had additional treatments on some of our earlier, less refined treatments. Ms. Belle has always been a subject and employee we tend to keep an eye on with these issues, as someone who has undergone multiple treatments and been subject to what was clearly our most faulty product test. There have already been a few issues with Ms. Belle and the stability of her current state, however a few days ago we discovered something new. A while back Ms. Belle tested a treatment that had been derived from the genetics of the laboratories physiotherapist, Ms. Connie. The treatment was to convert the skin into that of a basketball, including pattern and texture. The treatment was considered a success at the time, it wore of when it was supposed to, we didn't consider there to be any issues. That changed early last week...

Whilst playing a game of basketball with Ms. Connie, and Dr. Penny's robot assistant; Ms. Grace, Ms. Belle seemed to undergo an unprompted change. Whilst receiving the ball, her usually thin rubber-like skin started to firm up, gaining the texture akin to that of a basketball. Her pattern stated to change, returning to that of the previous treatment. Surprisingly, when we spoke to Ms. Belle about this afterward, she'd told us it had happened before. It seems to only last for a few hours, but since her initial treatment, coming into contact with a basketball seems to cause her body to revert to this state. This is fascinating, and we're looking into it as best we can. Our current tests suggest this is safe and not something we need to be immediately concerned with, however it does raise a lot of questions for us.
