At 2B Laboratories, we're always looking for new boundaries to push. It's our goal to see what can be achieved through medical and technological science. Every now and again, one of our staff will put forth an idea which is completely out there, something we hadn't really considered before. When this happens, we look at a number of factors to decide if we want to proceed with development of such an idea. The main one is if it serves any purpose which could be beneficial to the world at large. For example, would a treatment have any health benefits, or could it be beneficial in the medical world. In addition, it's important to us as a business that the idea be marketable and that people would be interested in buying and experimenting with it. We went through these discussions recently when Dr. Penny came to us with an idea that seemed really out there. She suggested that it would be possible to adjust and modify one's body in such a way that it could become modular.

To clarify, Dr. Penny believed it would be possible to engineer a human body in a manner that would allow certain body parts to be easily, safely and harmlessly removed and reconnected. At first the idea seemed ridiculous, but the more it was considered, the more it seemed to make sense. When we really thought about it, the theory could have a number of medical uses. And speaking with a few of our clients, the recreational aspects were beginning to seem like something we could market and offer to the general public. So, with the go ahead from our board, Dr. Penny started working on her project. A few months later, Dr. Penny boasts she has a working prototype. As per our procedure, we made arrangements to have the treatment tested, and put out a calling call for willing subjects. Ms. Aurore was the first person we saw. Once we spoke with her it was clear the decision had been an impulse and she'd since become a little nervous. We reassured her as best we could before proceeding with the experiment. Once Dr. Penny administered the treatment, there seemed to be no visible effects. That is until Ms. Aurore toppled over, her legs going one way, whilst her top half went the other. It would appear the experiment has been a success. We just need to figure out how to put her back together again. We're hoping to have it figured out in the next day or so... Hopefully.
