We've known for a while now that magic and magic users exist in the world. As soon as our treatments, and the treatments of others, became common knowledge, the secrecy of magic became less of a concern. When science catches up to fantasy, the need for hiding in the shadows becomes less of a necessity. We've interacted with a number of people from the magic community, and a number of them have even visited us. Although we don't fully understand how their magic works, it's always beneficial to compare notes and further our understanding. Ms. hazel was an odd visitor for us. Namely because when she came to see us, she wasn't exactly human. She had the body of a large feline, and large black wings. It goes without saying that this caught us a little off guard. She explained to us that she was in the area when she decided to try out a spell that would summon or create (we're not really sure how the magic works) a new Familiar for her. I believe a Familiar is just a fancy word for pet? However, when she tried the spell, it somehow transformed herself into her own Familiar.

She visited us because as it turns out, Ms. Hazel appears to be stuck like this. And without opposable thumbs, she was finding it incredibly hard to mix another potion or weave any additional spells. So, she came here hoping we might be able to help her. It's a really unique and fascinating chance to learn more about magic and how it affects the body. We've had Ms. Hazel work closely with Dr. Penny, who is trying to see if she can recreate Ms. Hazel's human DNA from her head, and then apply it to the rest of her body. Hopefully, for Ms. Hazel's sake, it shouldn't take too long. A couple of weeks perhaps.
