Fills me with calm somehow.
It has a small tendency to become unsharp at places but i still like it a lot
Good job.

Back after two weeks away and a lot of catching up to do. But this one struck me immediately - beautiful! Do you use FE gradients or do you make your own? Or do you recolour later?
I love it!

Nice. I hope you had some good 'down' time!
I always use the FE palette/gradient to start with. I generally find i have to desaturate though as the colours are always too bold in the defaults. Most times I will do some minor tweaking in Photoshop too (both colour and contrasting).

Thanks Suzanne.
Please take my new poll. It is about fractals, and thus, may be of some interest to you. Spread the word to other fractalists if you think they might be interested to. Thanks.

I've answered as best I can. I start from what I think is a manipulation. So I'm perhaps not really helping you.
I think that your images are manipulations and probably belong, in the present state of the categories we are offered, to Mixed media, even though they are composed only of fractal material. This is not very satisfying, because as far as I see, we can't submit them directly as digital images.
It's only an opinion. Nothing scientific there! After all we are free. There is no law!

Thanks Suzanne. I started the poll for purely personal reasons - and that reason is i have always felt a little guilty submitting my work as a fractal, but then again, there are no other categories that fit what i do. It has been a very interesting and lively debate thus far!

Yes, I've felt that too and I think many people have the same reaction.
Some people think that the category is broad enough to include manipulations, as long as what you add or do to the fractal is minor. Like adding a flower tube or as you do, making a geometrical form with your fractal. You don't add or take from your fractal, you rearrange it, so despite what I said your pictures could be counted as "fractal art".
After all the category is called Fractal art, and not Fractals. Maybe we need feel no qualms using it. Maybe it's up to use to judge when our picture is just too manipulated.
By saying "a fuss about nothing" I meant that as long as we do not put something obviously non-fractal in the category, we are not creating a problem.
Funnily and completely different... It shows how the dA police check things.
I took a photo of a small snail that had climbed up to a "warm" corner of my outside window shutter. It did that in the autumn and stayed there for months. So I submitted the photo in the domestic animals category for a laugh. I mean my snail really wasn't wild. It lived in my "domus" .....
After a few hours I was notified that it had been redirected to wild animals.
Someone had to look and decide. How many people do that all day?
It's perhaps not surprising that they don't want to offer another service, in this case a category.

I had (or rather am still having) an issue with one of my submissions. I received a note telling me they were moving one of my pieces. Have a look where they put it: [link]
I contacted the help desk and they said they would move it back, but it hasn't budged from its current category.

That's rather funny.
Well good luck!
