Description I can't believe i didn't submit this earlier. This thing i made in the good ol' year of 2005. Took a few months to make it, but only because i slacked off. Unfortunately, by the time i did release it on Newgrounds, Cursors of the Future was released and i didn't get much recognition ):

Anyway, you CAN drag nearly all the particles around and stuff. There's 30 of them (and maybe one secret test one i forgot to take out >_> )

Music made by RyeGuyHead from Newgrounds ([link] )

I DO have a sequel in the works...i'm taking out all the crappy ones from here, adding new ones to fill those in, and then adding at least 30 more. It'll be the bee's knees, for sure!

Have fun, leave a review!

Some pretty cool effects. The alpha settings are what make some of them run slower. Using some of these in a game would be cool, but tricky, as they would suck a lot of the CPU utilization, not leaving too much for the actual game's processes. Flash isn't the fastest medium to begin with... a lot of internal over-head, as well as needing a browser to run that is also sucking the life out of the CPU to some extent. My favorites were probably some of the cascading water-fall type animations... like the barf, and the blue one that looked kinda like water. With a little variation of color or shapes, I could see where it could make a really neat part of background animation for a game. I'm actually working on a Flash game right now and I'll have to investigate using code more to create animated effects with some amount of chaos or randomness to them. They sometimes look even better than looping hand-rendered effects, and can seriously save on file size.

The only other thing I noticed was that some of your descriptive texts got cut off... I think because you were using a dynamic text input that was absolutely sized.

thanks for the critique. i understand that some (most) of my particles were cpu-intensive...and i apologize, but if it isn't already set to low, put the quality to...low

i'll be sure to include more waterfall-esque particles in the sequel (:

file size wasn't a concern for this, because i didn't have to manually loop them. that's the up-side of particles. i may even make more than the 60 i had planned for PS2 (urgh...not playstation 2 >_>

and yeah, i totally forgot about the text thing. i don't feel like fixing it, though

again, thanks for your long critique (:
