What're your thoughts - is Infinite a brainwashed, older Tails underneath that mask, or is he an edgy, corrupted version of your playable OC?

In all honesty I think his back story's gonna be alot like Shadows in Sonic Heroes. He's one of many creations of the same models made by Dr. Eggman & his sole purpose is to get rid of sonic for once and for all. But in the end I think he's going to end up turning against eggman & joining "forces" (no pun intended) with the resistance to take down eggman and his army. Or hr could be the polar opposite & try to take down the eggman army & the resistance to claim the world as his own! But I guess the only way we'll know will be in November! 😭

Yeah, I've now seen the latest trailers with Eggman's laboratory capsules, so you may be onto something. It's also interesting to note that Metal Sonic, in his trailers, seems to be using the same cube-based energy attacks as Infinite, so it seems likely that our masked newcomer has his origins with the Doctor.
