This is prolly a part of the RP a few seconds before Sebastian gets soaked by Squirt for patting his shell too much Aries kinda sees it coming so... that explains her uneasy expression/posture |'D Aaaahh i'm squee'ing for these two all over again ;n; <3333

ARIES

"Hello guys." The young snow leopard mix hummed, gazing down at the turtles that were swimming about in the lake's blackwater. She was initially going to watch the turtles, but a little drink couldn't hurt... right? Though, she couldn't help but keep her guard up due to how close the Shadow territory was.

Aries's the runt of the littler, the fire empire leader's litter to be precise, so... even at a young age she was taking responsibility. In hopes to become like her mother, Andromeda, and a powerful gladiator like her dad, Brutus. She fixed her celestial eyes at the border, shadow's border, and as soon as she confirmed herself that no one was there-- she curled up near the lake. Lowering her head as she started licking the water's surface. Closing her eyes and leaving herself unaware of her surroundings for a brief minute.

SEBASTIAN

"UUAAAGGHHHH I'M SO BORED" Cried out Sebastian as he stood in the den stomping his feet, "There's nothing to do in here! Why did mum and dad leave us here while they went out hunting. The sitter isn't even looking after us." He said pouting and looking over at the sleeping cat who was meant to be keeping an eye on them. The rest of his siblings where asleep, or at least pretending to be trying to ignore his whining. Sebastian plopped himself on the den floor and huffed while he tried to get to sleep since there didn't seem to be anything else to do. His strop was interrupted by the calling of a small bird outside the den, Seb attempted to roar at the bird which ended up being more like a squeak and the bird just ignored him. "Hmm, mum said not to the leave the cave... Eh whatever!" He said to himself, anything would be more fun than staying in this hole all day.

He chased the bird away from the cave and continued to follow it around the edge of camp and into the forests, unaware he was approaching Fire Empire's border. After a few minutes of running and squeaking at the fluttering bird he was at Lake Blackwater. With his eyes fixed soley on the bird, Sebastian had no idea where he was headed, which just happened to be straight towards he oblivious Aries, just the other side of the border. The bird pulled away and flew up into the trees but Sebastian kept on running and WHAM, crashed straight into Aries, almost sending the two into the lake water.

ARIES

Aries continued taking a sips of the water, when a sudden noise caused her to glance up. UFF!! Before she knew what hit her— she found herself barrelling across the lake's border with whoever bumped into her. Eventually when the two came to a stop she immediately leaped off the ground and growled at the other. Though, just like Sebastian's roar— her growl sounded more cute than intimidating.

"W-who are you? Trespasser!" She hissed, trying her very best not to stutter from fear. Was this a hunter cat? Or a shadow cat? Well, wherever he popped up from— he appeared to be the same age as her, just slightly bigger so... she does have a fighting chance, right? Her ears flatten as she waited for his response, bringing out her tiny claws in the process.

"Ow!" Cried Sebastian as he righted himself, shaking himself to get rid of the dizziness. He chuckled to himself a little but was interrupted by the noise of an angry cub behind him. He jumped up and turned as he did so, landing so he faced the strange cub. She looked like a snow leopard, but a little bigger so she must have been a cross with something but he wasn't sure. Still, she was smaller than he was so he felt he had the upper hand, but he still felt a threat from this unknown cat. She started to growl and yell at him causing his ears to fall back against his head as he wasn't sure what to do. He tried to do what his parents would do and stand up to strange cats, so Sebastian puffed his chest out and dropped into an attack stance, "M-my name is Sebastian, son of two of the best gladiators in Shadow Empire!" He smiled thinking that sounded impressive, but he was unaware she was the daughter of the leader of Fire Empire, "Who are you?" He growled.

ARIES

Shadow Empire? Well it was better than crossing paths with a bounty hunter cub. Still, she couldn't help but keep up offensive position too. Keeping her body low to the ground, ready to pounce at him if he made any sudden movements. "I'm... I'm Aries." She uttered with a slight shaken tone "And I'm the last litter of the Fire Empire leader's! Daughter of the great barbary lion too, Brutus. So... don't you dare try to kidnap me!" At least... that's what she thought. Still unaware that the Shadow wasn't really into kidnapping nor a huge threat for the Fire Empire.

Sebastian didn't recognise the name 'Brutus', guess that's because his parents hadn't mentioned his name yet. But he had seen lions walking around shadow empire and he knew how big and scary they were so his heart jumped a little when she said her father was a big barbary lion! But what was more scary was that she was the daughter of a Leader! He was became pretty terrified at that moment. What if she saw him interacting with her daughter? She might attack him! He wasn't sure if Fire's leader liked Shadow Empire.

He stopped growling and tilted his head, "What? No I'm not gonna kidnap you! Especially if your the daughter of the L-Leader". He remained in an attacking stance, though he wouldn't try to attack Aries now, but he was not letting down his guard just in case she attacked him. "What are you doing so close to the border anyway?"

ARIES

Sebastian was right to fear the barbary lion, since he was huge for a lion. However, around cubs, Brutus wasn't really all that dangerous. He's practically a big fluffy fuzzball with a heart, with no intentions of attacking them whatsoever. Hunter cubs on the other hand, might be a different story? It wasn't like Sebastian was a hunter though, so Aries was just pulling his leg by bringing Brutus up. She knew her daddy wouldn't harm or kill a Shadow cub like Sebastian.

"Y-you're not?" Aries perked her ears upwards, lifting her body off the ground. She had a puzzled look for a moment before she sighed in relief. Boy... that was too close! Retracting her claws she lowered her head. "I'm sorry. Sometimes I jump into conclusions... I didn't meant to yell at you." She flatten her ears all apologetic-like. Looking at the lake right after. "Normally, when I'm alone, I come here to talk to my friends..." Raising her paw she then pointed at two turtles in the lake.

"Of course not silly! I'd never hurt anyone, at least those who aren't asking for it!" He said puffing out his chest to make him seem big and strong.Sebastian turned his attention to where the female was pointing. At first he didn't see anything until the water started to ripple at which point he saw a couple of turtles in the shallow water. He jumped and squeaked in excitement and bounced towards the little reptiles, he'd never seen a turtle before but he loved them already. "Oh wow! These are so cool! Hey fellas!" He said patting the shell of one of the turtles, "They got any names?".

ARIES

"Heh... my bad." She added and pawed the back of her neck's pelt, feeling rather stupid now. Aries was just hoping Sebastian wouldn't one day blackmail her, or mention it around her mom. It'd be so embarrassing! She would never hear the end of it, especially from her big brother-- Polaris.

At that note, she couldn't help but see some of Pol's personality trait within Sebastian. Well... the energetic and loud part were spot on. Keeping that in mind, she lowered her solemn behaviour and decided to be more open. "You sound like you never seen turtles before." Aries's lightly chuckled while one of the little reptiles curiously approached him-- close enough for him to pat. Once the lil' guy felt the other's paw it immediately squirt water on Sebastian's face. "I think he's saying hello back." The snow leopard mix fondly smiled, trying not to laugh. "And nope! They don't have names."

Sebastian looked back to Aries only momentarily before once again getting distracted by the turtles, "No I've never seen these before! I'm not really allowed outside the den when mum and dad aren't around but it was soOOOOO BORING THERE!" he cried flinging his head back to exaggerate his hatred towards the den, "There's nothing to do, especially when my brothers and sister don't want to play with me-AAHH!", he was caught off guard when the turtle squirted water at him which startled him a bit but he laughed it off after Aries said he was just saying 'hello'.

No name?, he thought, we can't have that now can we. "I think I have a name for this guy", he said once again patting the turtle which had sprayed him with water, "I think 'Squirt' is a good name".

She rolled her eyes after perceiving Sebastian's boastful self. If she didn't know any better— he was exactly like her brother... or worse. Either way, watching him was fun and pretty entertaining. Especially after the reptile gave him a good ol' washing.

"Squirt? That's perfect! I like it." She hummed, looking down at the turtle being pat on again. Tough, the little guy grew irritated and foamed bubbles out of his mouth. Seeming like it was ready to launch another attack at Sebastian. "Umm.. Sebs you might want to— " Before she had a chance to finish Squirt had launched another stream of water, but it splashed Aries this time. "H-hey!!"

SEBASTIAN

"I'm glad you like it! I think he likes it as well", he said with a warm smile not knowing that blowing bubbles was a sign of aggression for a turtle. As Aries began to speak he looked towards her just in time to see her being assaulted by a spurt of water. Sebastian sniggered trying not to laugh out loud, ignoring the few drops of water landing on his nose from the splash-back. He turned back to Squirt, the newly named turtle, and assumed a kind of parent role, "Now now, that's not very nice Squirt. Say sorry to Aries!".

ARIES

The turtle made a little hiss when it was scolded, and quickly withdraw his head and legs back into his shell. Aries sighed and shook her head, fixing her mane which was soaked and nearly covering her eyes. "Squirt it's okay, come out. We're not mad at you." She angelically spoke, trying to be comforting like a mother.

SEBASTIAN

Sebastian waited patiently and quietly for once in his life for the little reptile to re-appear. Sure enough after a couple of minutes Squirt showed himself once again. A very wide grin grew across his face as he tried not to squeak in excitement, as to not frighten the turtle back into it's shell, and slowly approached it and affectionately bumping it on the head with his nose, "Awww, good turtle", he purred encouragingly.

Then Sebastian remembered something Aries said earlier but didn't take much notice of,"Normally, when I'm alone, I come here to talk to my friends..." she said. Did that mean she doesn't have any friends in her empire? Ones that were cats anyway. Trying to be a bit more careful with his words "Hey Aries?", he questioned, "Do you have any friends that are... ya know... cats?". It wouldn't be unusual if she didn't since she was very young like himself and even Sebastian hadn't really made any friends outside of his circle of siblings. Even so, he wanted to know.

Aries simply smiled and flicked her tail as she watched the two bond, relief that their turtle friend forgave them. After Sebastian had his turn she approached Squirt to gently pat him on the head as well. Softening her celestial eyes at him in a heartfelt demeanour. Normally she visited the lake just to have some company to talk to but... to actually touch them? Let alone name one? It was an amazing experience she would never forget!

The tender moment was then interrupted when she heard her name being called. "Yes?" She backed her paw and listened attentively to what he had to say. Letting her ears fall flat afterwards. "....N-no. It's not that I don't want to have friends. It's just— I can't approach others that easily I guess. I mean... I nearly attacked you..."

SEBASTIAN

"Eh don't worry about it!" He said referring to when she attacked him earlier, "I have two brothers and a sister so I'm used to being attacked, but probably not so aggressively" Sebastian chuckled which he thought probably reassured Aries that he was okay and that it was no big deal. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" he questioned, leaning forward slightly eager to learn more about the cat he had only just met. He's spent most his energy playing with the turtles so he was beginning to calm down and was ready to listen.

After lending an ear, Aries uttered a light giggle while the other snow leopard mix chuckled. Retrieving back her soft smile afterwards. When it came to siblings, she knew how much of a handful they were—especially the "hyper" ones. In addition, she was content in knowing she didn't make things complicated or weird by her protective behaviour earlier.

"Of course, I have a brother and a sister! I'm the youngest one from my siblings and... my brother can relate to your brothers too. I don't even KNOW how you can handle two! I can barely handle one." She rolled her eyes before falling on her behind. Sitting still as their buddy, Squirt, decided to swim off towards the rest of his family in the lake.

"We get on pretty well! Considering there's four of us I'm surprised we haven't had any fights yet. But I guess there's plenty of time for that" Said Sebastian with nervous laughter. He watched as Squirt swam back closer to the center of the lake back to his family. Come to think of it, it was about time Seb got back to the den, if the babysitter noticed he was gone he'd be in BIG trouble. Even more so if his parents had returned to find he had wandered off! He yelped after his moment of realisation,"Oh golly how long have I been here? I hope mum and dad aren't back yet, they'd kill me if they saw I wasn't in the den!", he leaped to his feet ready to run, "But, uh, I'll see you again yeah? I'll be able to stay and play longer when I'm a little older" he said with hopeful optimism. He liked hanging round with Aries, she seemed cool! Plus they hadn't really played together yet and she was the first friend he'd made in the empires.

"Hehe, based on your hyperactive trait... i'm surprised too." She lightly giggled, only to quickly lift herself of the ground after picking up on the "babysitter" thing. "Oh gosh! I lost track of time too!" Her parents were the same deal, especially her mother. Initially she was just going for a little drink and briefly talk to her turtle buddies, she wasn't prepared to actually encounter a shadow cat! Though, she didn't regret being run into by him. Sebastian proved to be a fun cat, and she really did enjoy talking to him too. "U-umm... sure! I'd like to meet up again. I'll have responsibilities to take care of in the future, but I wouldn't mind making time for you. It'll be our secret~" She purred, a feature that she hardly showed. "Well I'll see you soon i guess, and you too Squirt!" Aries hollered, running off in a hurry right afterwards.

"Yay!" He shouted as he turned and ran as Aries did, already excited for their next encounter, a large grin grew across his face as he entered the dark forests of Shadow Empire and disappeared into the darkness, out of sight.

Normally she visited the lake just to have some company to talk to but... to actually touch them? Let alone name one? It was an amazing experience she would never forget!

The tender moment was then interrupted when she heard her name being called. "Yes?" She backed her paw and listened attentively to what he had to say. Letting her ears fall flat afterwards. "....N-no. It's not that I don't want to have friends. It's just— I can't approach others that easily I guess. I mean... I nearly attacked you..."

SEBASTIAN

"Eh don't worry about it!" He said referring to when she attacked him earlier, "I have two brothers and a sister so I'm used to being attacked, but probably not so aggressively" Sebastian chuckled which he thought probably reassured Aries that he was okay and that it was no big deal. "Do you have any brothers or sisters?" he questioned, leaning forward slightly eager to learn more about the cat he had only just met. He's spent most his energy playing with the turtles so he was beginning to calm down and was ready to listen.

ARIES

After lending an ear, Aries uttered a light giggle while the other snow leopard mix chuckled. Retrieving back her soft smile afterwards. When it came to siblings, she knew how much of a handful they were—especially the "hyper" ones. In addition, she was content in knowing she didn't make things complicated or weird by her protective behaviour earlier.

"Of course, I have a brother and a sister! I'm the youngest one from my siblings and... my brother can relate to your brothers too. I don't even KNOW how you can handle two! I can barely handle one." She rolled her eyes before falling on her behind. Sitting still as their buddy, Squirt, decided to swim off towards the rest of his family in the lake.

SEBASTIAN

"We get on pretty well! Considering there's four of us I'm surprised we haven't had any fights yet. But I guess there's plenty of time for that" Said Sebastian with nervous laughter. He watched as Squirt swam back closer to the center of the lake back to his family. Come to think of it, it was about time Seb got back to the den, if the babysitter noticed he was gone he'd be in BIG trouble. Even more so if his parents had returned to find he had wandered off! He yelped after his moment of realisation,"Oh golly how long have I been here? I hope mum and dad aren't back yet, they'd kill me if they saw I wasn't in the den!", he leaped to his feet ready to run, "But, uh, I'll see you again yeah? I'll be able to stay and play longer when I'm a little older" he said with hopeful optimism. He liked hanging round with Aries, she seemed cool! Plus they hadn't really played together yet and she was the first friend he'd made in the empires.

ARIES

"Hehe, based on your hyperactive trait... i'm surprised too." She lightly giggled, only to quickly lift herself of the ground after picking up on the "babysitter" thing. "Oh gosh! I lost track of time too!" Her parents were the same deal, especially her mother. Initially she was just going for a little drink and briefly talk to her turtle buddies, she wasn't prepared to actually encounter a shadow cat! Though, she didn't regret being run into by him. Sebastian proved to be a fun cat, and she really did enjoy talking to him too. "U-umm... sure! I'd like to meet up again. I'll have responsibilities to take care of in the future, but I wouldn't mind making time for you. It'll be our secret~" She purred, a feature that she hardly showed. "Well I'll see you soon i guess, and you too Squirt!" Aries hollered, running off in a hurry right afterwards.

"Yay!" He shouted as he turned and ran as Aries did, already excited for their next encounter, a large grin grew across his face as he entered the dark forests of Shadow Empire and disappeared into the darkness, out of sight.
