I'd imagine it to be sort of a Mario/Paper Mario RPG format with timed button presses and little minigames built into each attack. The shield system may be little bit of recovery each turn, and if there's a successful dodge(tap A just as the hit comes) there's a shield charge bonus. Or something. Cool drawing, bro.
