Description
The Southern U.N. Forces began their attack on the Italian Peninsula. They attacked the coastal cities using long range artillery, but the AA guns kept any bombing runs of any kind from the air. Small squads were sent to take down the defenses. Due to the bombardment, the defenses were thinned out.
