Description Nerves tingling warily through the afterglow of her escape from the Drones and the table-prison, TK approached the doorway and peered cautiously out. Sweeping her eyes from side-to-side, she scanned the corridor for the glue-spewing hover-bots...and was surprised to find them absent. The leavings of their attacks were plastered everywhere, but of the spherical black horrors, there was no sign at all. This development unsettled her deeply, and though there were very few places they could be hiding - back inside the tractor-field cell or on the other side of the "big" door the only two locations she knew of - she still had the feeling that the things were lurking somewhere nearby. Just waiting for her to step back out into that hallway before sweeping to the attack.

Gritting her teeth in frustration, TK resigned herself to the fact that she had little choice but to go back out there. She had to keep moving, and couldn't let fear of what might happen keep her trapped in this room. Letting her breath out in a slow sigh, she took a tentative step out into the hall, ready to spring back at the first sign of the glue-bots' return. When nothing happened, she felt emboldened and leaned a little farther out...and still nothing.

Shaking her head in uneasy puzzlement, TK stepped out fully and started trotting down the corridor toward the metal slab-door, moving cross-stepped and watching all around for any sign of danger. She had no idea where the hovering machines had gotten off to...and just then she didn't really care. They weren't here, and that was all that really mattered. Even she could accept a mystery at a time like this...at least if it worked in her favor...
