When him and his brother were born, two other kits never survived. They were the lucky two of the four, and their parents treated them that way because they wanted to keep them safe. His brother was more risky and tempered than him, so when he became an apprentice, he ran off into the woods where he was never to return. He was presumed dead, and Sparrowpaw now knew not to make that same mistake. He still fears what lies in the forest that may have taken his brother, and his parents are over protective of him, but this doesn't stop his fun. He is very excited to move up and become a warrior.
