From the beginning, when Syler was born, he knew he was different. His parents, Ginny and Jerric, had always wanted a girl, already previously having three sons, they decided to try one more time. After he was born, they decided to just be happy with what they had, they weren't rich, living in a small three bedroom house in Cherrygrove City. Growing up, he loved to spend time with his older brothers, running around the neighboring cities and wrecking anything they could. When he was old enough to buy his own clothes, he picked out odd choices, pink shirts, girl's shoes, and once, he even tried to sneak out in a skirt. Going to school dressed in such a fashion and the obvious fact that he had a crush on the popular guys in class made him the obvious target of bulling. Finally, when he made it to high school, he found a friend who told him not to listen to anyone and do his own thing, which he might have taken to literally. After the first two years of sigh school, he evolved into a Sylveon, and the torment was sickening. At the first chance he got, he packed his bags, said goodbye to his old life, and left for his dreams.

The only flaw in his plan was that he was broke and his dreams were almost unreachable. He wanted to become a fashion model. When he realized how difficult that would be, he went to the next best thing in his eyes, beautician school. He made friends quickly and passed with flying colors, moving on to work as a hair dresser in his best friends shop. He dressed as he pleased and acted how he wanted, which drew the attention of a particular man coming in one day. As he sat, he told Syler all about his home town, shining Nimbasa City. No less than a month later, he was traveling again, passing cities, never staying for more than a week as he headed for his goal. When the day came that he arrived to the streets of Nimbasa, he new he could reach his goal. He became a fashion model quickly in the theater, and he knew it was right. When word of Lumiose came to him, he felt the travel bug in his system again.

After flying to Lumiose, he fell in love with the culture, people, and of course, the clothes. Making a steady living for himself in the big city, he decided to settle down there for a while. All was well, he had friends, admirers, and a career. The day when he found the old envelope in his mailbox, he was more than excited. A new place not even on standard maps, wanting him to come and stay? How could he refuse?
