Not trying to accuse anybody, it's just strange that such coincidences happen.

Is that why Fascists historically killed socialists and purged them from the party, capturing socialist images purely for political use while being financed by capitalist industrialists as a preferable alternative to socialism, and why one of the core objectives of fascism was the preservation of class division and private property?

I retract my previous statement. Communism is socialism in decay. Democracy isn't a political party, per se- there can be democratic republics (example: England) and democratic socialist nations (example: Sweden).

I respectfully disagree
the principle of democracy and republics believe that people can govern themselves. Being allowed to vote for one's representation through multiple parties and candidates that share your beliefs. Multiple parties have less of a chance of being corrupted and with the exchange of beliefs and ideas will progress further than any single party state.
the principle of Socialism and Communism believe that the people cannot govern themselves. If they have an election is a shamor is a choice between Tweedledum and Tweedledee if you are under a total socialist or communist state example last century Cold War Communist states never had a free and open elections until after the wall came down. If you have a single party with a monopoly over the government like anything else it becomes stagnant and corrupt.

Ah, no. That "communist" description of yours is totalitarianism, which is the opposite of what Marx intended.
Socialism is all about the people governing themselves. Ideal socialism is when the people elect a governing council who are subject to public opinion. In a republic, a leader is elected, hardly the people governing themselves.
The so-called communist governments in the Soviet Union and North Korea are totalitarian, in the latter's case, fascist. China is capitalist, plain and simple.
Ideal socialism has taken root in countries such as Sweden, Norway, Germany, France and Finland.
