Description
A Different Kind of DoomShinnoh, it was different kind of place. It was the place where the grass was always green, the mountains were always spectacular, and was always peaceful. There was no crime, no disturbances, nothing bad.
Sitting on the edge of the region was a ranch, which was south of Lake Verity and just west of Twinleaf Town. It was a decently sized ranch, which held many different pokemon with many different personalities. Heading the ranch was a lady, who went by the name of Elisa.
One day, the former trainer was in the attic, looking for items that was usable to help rebuild a part of the fence, when instead, found a photo album. She picked up the album, and brought it back downstairs with her for a quick peek. As she opened the album to the first page once she placed it on the table, a smile was brought to her face.
The first photo she saw showed Professor Oak, a well known Kanto region professor, along with Elisa herself, when she was about ten years younger. In the photo, it shows her with her first pokemon, a charmander named Leopard, who today is a Charizard, with Oak standing in the background. On the bottom of the photo, it read: "To Elisa, hope you become the great trainer you want to be!" -Oak.
Looking away from the photo, her smile faded away. She just sighed, and blew her hair into the air. Under her breath, she spoke a few words very quietly, saying, "I wish I had one more small adventure..."
As she closed the album, there was a knock at her door. When she walked over, she saw a man dressed in blue and white, with a postal hat on, looking like he was in his late twenties. Elisa opened the door, and asked, "How can I help you, today?"
"Nothing. Just delivering mail, ma'm." He said, handing over a couple of envelopes.
As she was looking through the fronts of the envelopes, she thought it would be rude to say, but she asked out of curiosity anyway. "Where's Bennie?"
The postal man looked confused. "Who?" He asked.
"He's the man who usually delivers my mail, that's all."
Quickly, the postal man shook his head, looking like he remembered, saying, "Oh, Bennie. He got into an accident, injured his leg a little. He'll be alright though."
Feeling like she made it a little awkward, Elisa just said, "Oh..."
Then, off a little to the distance, there was a little thunder. Both of them looked up, and saw some clouds that looked like they were about to cover up the sun. "Looks like you better stay indoors," the man said, "looks like a storm is about to hit."
"I didn't think there was going to be a storm today." Elisa said, nodding.
The man started to walk away, saying, "Well, have a good day ma'm."
But, feeling like she was being rude, she replied to him, "You too! Oh... but wait!" She shouted, as the man turned around. "I didn't get your name!"
The man shouted back, replying "Lucas."
Elisa nodded, replying back to him, "Have a good day, Lucas!"
Lucas just gave a smile, as he continued to walk down the path from where he came. Elisa closed the door.
She re-looked at one of the envelopes, and sighed that it was an electric bill. But as another crack of thunder sounded, she realized that she had to round up her pokemon.
"Darn. I forgot Ina's not here today," she sighed, "Looks like it's my turn to round 'em up."

Meanwhile, there was one who wasn't currently near or within the gate of the ranch. The infernape, who went by the name of Veruka, was walking along a path in the forest between the mountains and the ranch, just thinking about recent events on the ranch.
Of course, there was the usual Vincent stories, where the lucario would try to win her fiery heart, but ends up spoiling the event every time. There was also an even with Scratch where he got his head stuck in the giant oak, which can't be explained. Rupert drank too much Poke-Cola and passed out for a few hours. just the typical events on Elisa's ranch.
However, there was one event that occurred that deeply saddened Veruka. Not everyone on the ranch knows about it yet, but it turns out Napoleon and Cotton were preparing for a child, just to find out that it was all just a fluke. It's too hard to explain, but I will leave it at this: Everyone who did find out was shell-shocked by it.
As Veruka continued to walk back toward the ranch as she continued to hear thunder and the dark clouds started to cover the sky, she noticed a large bush that was moving and shaking.
Veruka stopped dead in her tracks, and started to form a fire ball in her hand. "Vincent, I swear to Arceus, if you don't get out of that bush, I will burn you!"
The bush started to shake again, as a figure started to form out of it. It was the lucario after all, with a depressed look on his face. "So, doesn't work anymore, huh?"
Veruka denied. "Of course not."
Vincent sighed, and then smiled again. "Whatever. Hey, we should probably get back to the ranch. Looks like it's going to storm."
They both looked up, and saw the clouds getting grayer. "I was actually heading back there now." Veruka said.
"Well, now you have me to keep you company." Vincent said.
Veruka just quietly gave a 'Humph', and continued to walk, with Vincent closely behind.
When Vincent caught up to Veruka and walked at the same pace, he tried one of his scams. He slowly started to shape wrapping his arm around Veruka, and got closer and closer to her shoulders-
"Vincent, please don't." She said.
Vincent sighed. "Come on, Veruka. Why are you always so quiet. You never like any attention."
"Maybe I just don't want it."
"Maybe you want it, but you just won't admit it!" Vincent countered.
Veruka just continued to ignore him. But Vincent was pretty annoyed, and tried to get Veruka to talk.
"I'm not the one who ignores everyone all the time!" He said. "I mean, you used to be around everyone. But now, you seclude yourself from everyone. Why?"
Veruka just stopped. "I don't."
Vincent stopped as well. "Yes, you do! Whatever everyone else is doing, you do the opposite. Why?"
As Veruka was about to say something, a lightning blot struck about ten feet in front of them onto the ground. Vincent wrapped his arms around Veruka he was so scared.
Veruka pushed him off, as she looked at the blackened ground. "That was a close call."
"I say it was." A loud, raspy voice said.
Veruka looked at Vincent, and Vincent just denied the voice. "Wasn't me."
They both turned around behind them, and saw a tall figure. "You know, things get dangerous out here. You might wanna be careful."
As the figure walked closer, the noticed that it was a human. "Did you just talk to us?" Vincent asked.
The man nodded. "I did." he said.
Veruka and Vincent noticed a shiny bud in the man's ear. He saw they were looking at the bud, as he layed his one ear to his bud, and the other to his belt. "oh yeah, this is how I understand you. Cool, right?"
As Vincent stared at the bud, Veruka payed attention to his belt. She noticed that there was a handle on his belt. As he put his hand on his belt, she realized she had to act quickly.
When the man grabbed the handle, Veruka pushed Vincent onto the ground, as a knife was thrown from his belt.
"What are you doing?" Veruka shouted.
"What he has to..." Another an's voice was heard.
Vincent and Veruka stood up, as a second figure came from the darkness of the woods. In his right hand, he held a weapon, a sword. The second man looked to be in his thirties, was as tall as the first man, but looked more aggressive.
Without warning, he pointed his sword at the two pokemon, as it lit up with a yellowish color. then, a thunderbolt blew out of the sword, hitting a tree right next to them. "That wasn't from the sky!" He shouted, as the two men walked closer to Vincent and Veruka.
Vincent gave an angry look, and Veruka started to form a bright fire. "Who are you?" She asked.
"People you don't wanna be friends with!" A voice above them said.
As all four of them looked up, a third figure dropped down, landing in front of Veruka and Vincent. The figure stood up in front of them, looking behind him, saying, "Seriously, you need to stay away from these guys."
