201 is a very lonely slugcat, a purposed being that failed to develop what they needed for their purpose. She is a companion to a God that named her a failure. While she doesn't fully understand what it means she can sense the disappointment that occasionally fills 36 Thousand's gaze when she is focused on experiments and 201 interrupts.

On days when her Iterator is upset or frustrated 201 explores the world, fatally curious like all slugcats she finds dangers to outrun or in this case a seemingly abandoned tree. It smells of other slugcats... maybe her appearance is too concerning.
