Description
A small murmur appeared in her thoughts. She could make out what it was saying, but it sounded distant, as if it were an echo of a voice. Stenere closed her eyes, and in a flash of green, words splayed out before her. "Um, hello? Anyone?" It seemed like it came from somewhere far away, as if they were testing to see if a phone worked. She soaked it in for a second, thinking about what it meant and how to respond, if she even could. Suddenly, a black blanket of darkness encompassed her. She inhaled sharply, eyes still closed. A mysterious chiming noise echoed in the pitch black. Slowly, orbs of light came into focus, floating and glowing a distinctive bright blue. As they grew brighter, she saw a girl, smiling widely. Stenere couldn't see anything but the smile upon her, which grew by the second. Then, her clothes and hair became slightly visible. She gasped audibly, for it was her friend, Edith, a girl who attended the school a town away. She was a fun-loving girl who used to babysit her siblings. Why did she look so.. evil? The orbs around her began to crackle with purple colored energy, then cutting out in an instant. The black was back again. She opened her eyes and thought, "Hello? I don't know what's going on, but I know something happened to Edith. Whoever is there, help me!" It occurred to Stenere a couple seconds later that this someone might not know Edith, which made her even more concerned. She could be talking to anyone. Little did she know, this person did know Edith... and possibly a way to save her.
