Jason pays tribute to Poseidon's gift of safe passage to the Argo as they row between the clashing rocks.Just randomly inspired while rummaging in the DVD cabinet this afternoon. Why do I suddenly have an urge to animate a gaggle of skeletons? XD Ray Harryhausen, my childhood wouldn't have been the same without you

Did you hear that they're remaking Clash of the Titans? Rumor is that Sam Raimi is going to direct it. Now, I'm absolutely sick of all these remakes that have been churned out lately, and I really hate it when they remake a good movie (They're remaking Hellraiser and Near Dark!!! Why?!? Oh, why!??!?!?), but I think a Clash of the Titans remake might not be so bad. Maybe.

I wish they'd stop remaking stuff and try something new for a change! It seems like ages since there was something completely new at the cinema. ALthough I have to admit I think I'd like to see Sam Raimi's take on Clash of the Titans (or possibly Peter Jackson's ... *ponders*). I don't know how well you remember the original, but I can definitely see Bruce Campbell as a comedy Kalibos

Or Bruce Campbell as Jason! A Peter Jackson verison would be 4 hours long. I hate him after he turned King Kong into a 3 hour chick flick. And, damn, that movie had some horrific dialouge! I'll stick with Dead Alive (or Brain Dead as it's called in some places). As for the original, I saw it a couple of years ago and it wasn't really as good as I remembered it from my childhood. Most movies aren't. I wonder why they always make Zeus an old man in those movies when the Greek Gods were immortal.

Yeah, King Kong did suck quite a lot, actually. That chase through the canyon with the rolling brontosaurus herd felt like it went on forever. But I totally agree on the Brain Dead front - I was reminded of it the other night while playing Dead Rising at a mate's house and killing zombies with a lawnmower
