Alexander does look more like the comic book character than Gadot, but neither of them really have the physic for the role in my opinion.
I think that what WB should have done is find a lesser known (or even a barely known) actress and then simply groom her for the role. Maybe a theater actress even...

Well... can't say I share your opinion.
The Dark Knight was excellent. Batman Begins had quite a few good ideas, but was a bit too experimental in my opinion. The Dark Knight Rises was bad, point.
All in all, I think that Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great either. Batman in it was cool and all, but in my opinion Nolan's movies failed to present Batman as the World's Greatest Detective.
