I created this work using my latest innovative style in which the background is no longer flat, it gets its "bumpy" relief from the pattern.

Can you see the effect? Does it add value to the hidden image? And what other ideas can take advantage of this effect? Please let me know in the comments, I read them all.

I came up with the idea and made the first prototype in 2003. This new image uses an improved technique I finished last night. It finally gives me the control I need, yet I still have to make a lot of manual corrections to remove the defects and artifacts.

P.S. It just occurred to me that this color scheme might not work well for people with color blindness. If you one of them I'd love to hear from you whether the effect still works for you.
