Description
Sakura (3D model by Ferryman) is a Hidden Image Stereogram (aka Magic Eye picture) with a semitransparent object inside. Technically I made it from 2 separate stereograms by blending them together. This image is used as a logo of 3D-Stereogram discussion group ( [link] ) BTW, if you like these pictures oand want to learn how to make them, you may want to join this creative community (end of commercial).
Happy viewing!

thanks, I know I should make more stereogram with transparency effect, but it's twice as much work and I backlist it for the future every time.

It's amazing that you were able to embed transparency into the stereogram; I've never seen such an effect before; how did you do it?

I rendered 2 separate stereogram with different patterns and then just blended them together.

ROFL.
One moment you're trying to figure out a steriogram and next thing you know, you're looking at a pair of 3D tits!

Damn! It's really, really good. All stereograms I've seen was just a 3d shape covered with canvas pattern. This is the first one seen by me where the object is colored properly. Congratulations!

Really nice effect
I now, how to create stereograms, once made the one in ascii art (a simple pyramid).
But even having those knowledge it is still amazing and surprising what one can achieve using a proper technique and some thinking

It takes some time to learn, but it's very easy to view them after.

That's a seriously curve-y girl in 3D!! I like the way you've done the translucent material too - not seen that effect before.
Couldn't see it properly earlier, because my home screen is 19", and I couldn't diverge my eyes enough. Guess that's one problem with digital 3D stereograms - you are never quite sure what size of device someone is looking on, and the effect is very size-specific.
Anyway, it was worth the effort, going to have a look round the rest of your gallery now

Thank you very much, Neil.
Transparency effect isn't that new, but it is really difficult to make recognizable stereogram with it.
The resolution problem could be solved with a help of Flash movie or javascript - they can resize an image on client browser.
Have fun and come back again, I'll be adding new works continuously

It takes some time to learn how to view them. After you catch your 1st stereogram you could see them easily.
Have you tried this tips already?

If you still can't get them seen, explain me how you view and what you see, and I'll try to help you with it

That is so cool! I saw it quite easily, I thought I would have to cross my eyes or something but it worked very quickly.
Nicely done! Do you mind if I put a link of this in my journal? I think perhaps alot of people that visit your page don't truly appreciate what it is your'e creating...by looking at just the thumbnails, you know?
