BACKSTORY ▪
Born to a new couple in Alaska; a werebear named Morten and a Selkie woman named Nattiq. Nanuq surprised the couple when she was born; she had a seal skin, just like her mother! They truly didn't expect her to be born with one considering she was a hybrid of two different monsters. A few years after Nanuq was born, when she was about three or four, they found that she also had her father's ability to shift into a bear, surprising them even further. When Nanuq was seven, her parents were caught in a terrible drive-by shooting. Neither survived. So, now an orphan, Nanuq was taken in by authorities, where she waited for her uncle, a young man named Björn, to take her in. When he came in, he saw that she only had a few basic materials; her favorite toy, a couple juice boxes, and her seal skin, which she had covered her back with like a shawl. The social worker remarked that she had a 'very strange blanket.' Björn didn't want to deal with any questions, so he just quickly scribbled down important details, and took Nanuq in.
Now, Nanuq has just turned eighteen in the city, where she managed to find work as a voice actress. For now, she's only doing simple things such as advertisements and small roles in video games, but she dreams to do more. But recently, she learned about the three gangs. She found that Björn was a member of Humilis, and stubbornly requested entry.

TRIVIA ▪
- A true mama bear
- Can hold her breath for long periods of time due to her mother's selkie genetics
- Her bear form has very faint speckles and splotches on it, similar to patterns you'd find on a harp seal.
- And likewise, her seal form is incredibly furry, unlike the average harp seal. Her fur is more similar to a baby harp seal, instead.
- Has a slight Russian accent

ABILITIES ▪
Shapeshifting - Though becoming a bear is a fairly obvious ability that Nanuq would have, she also has a seal skin that she was born with, just like her mother was. So, Nanuq has the ability to shift into both a bear and a seal.

FLAW ▪
Her seal skin isn't grafted into her body like how her ability to shift into a bear is. She has to have her seal skin wrapped around her shoulders in order to turn into a seal. Furthermore, she can't actually turn into both a seal and a bear; it would fuck up her
anatomy way too much for her to handle. Doesn't mean she hasn't tried, though.
