it seemed a path of least resistance. 
The design is more of an homage to the idea of the scarab beetle. the image comes from Eastern and Native American jewelry traditions, and artistic interpretations, it is not intended to depict an actual bug. Then when you consider that the idea is of a mechanical ship built to represent-symbolically the idea of a symbol. and you do know that's it's a fictional work-right? It is part of a larger study I'm doing into examining the morphological similarities between arthropods and crustaceans and a universal appreciation of sacred geometry exemplars in nature and applying that design to imaginary products-aka whimsy.

but sure "you were right once" seems like it'll do for this conversation-go with that.
