Great work on the bathingsuit. Skin looks touchable.

Thank you, the skin texture it self is not by me, but I have customized it and then worked on the shaders to get this final render which actually was ready after very few test renders. A funny or strange thing is that if I pose the model in any other position with the same light setup and skader settings the realism of the skin is lost, so this pose is just the right angle for these settings

Interesting. Well, it certainly worked out well for this particular render. It's not easy to dicover a good skin shader that works in most lighting situations, but it's also very important to achieving consistantly good results in each render. I've been lucky to find settings that work under both IBL and direct lighting equally as good, but obviously there are still some things I need to tweak to get it just perfect.

Hi,
what you did to get the wet skin look. I tried Reality and my models get a matte skin tone.

I don't personally think this one has a wet look, but the shininess of the skin is mostly decided by the light and camera angles, the skin texture and the shader settings especially the glossiness/specular part can make a skin look more shiny or even wet.

Yes youΒ΄re right I mean shininess (instead of wet - bad English here).
But you fix that in Daz before the render or in Reality / LuxRender?
I didnt get how to change material in LuxRender.

It is a mix of all. Making the right light setup in Daz (remember that Luxrender simulates lights like in the real world) and then adjusting the skin texture shader settings in Reality and doing several test renders while adjusting the settings until you achieve the result you want. In Luxrender under "Tone mapping" remember to switch "Kernel" to "Linear" so that you also can manual adjust sensitivity, exposure and others since this also can have an effect on how visible any skin shininess is.
Hope this helps you

Nice, very nice. I've got the same tools as you do but I have only tried it once but never finished rendering cause it took sooo long. One question, how long did your render take?

Thank you. The render time as you probably also know depend a lot on how complex the scene is, how many lights, render screen size, etc, etc. and secondly the power of your system. This one I believe took me about 12-14 hours on my quad-core system. I have to ask also, if you are aware of that LuxRender never stops rendering, it will continue to render until you are satisfied with the image quality and stops the render yourself

does the lux render need any specific setting?

Thanks mate really appreciate it. I thought so, it keeps calculating the light bounces. That's a long time. I got a Intel i7 720 for a CPU. I'll give it another go and leave it for a longer amount of time.
Cheers

Thanks for the comment. Texture is a bit of special mix because I have done some custom work and editing before rendering.

I'm curious as well. I have been playing with custom metals. Starting to get decent looks with "odd" colors.
