I always loved taking photos and draw. I thought I had to pick one and I struggled for years to decide.
A few years back I needed a specific pose so I took a picture and then drew it.
I loved all parts of that process.
But I was still thinking I had to choose one of the two.
The more pictures I took, the freer I felt to explore more daring poses.
This silent scream is from not too long ago. I'm still to afraid to be loud, so I scream silently.
Precieving myself this way, through photos (and videos) have been so healing.
I am worthy, just existing.
It wasn't until I consistently drew and painted myself I started to fall in love.
I didn't realize until I caught myself smiling whenever I glimpsed myself in the mirror.
