I wish there were some way I could put the fear of God into the spammers.... Maybe send an email that put a little fake smoke coming out of their monitor the first time - real smoke the next time.

It seems you had some bad experiences. I completely understand your point and some ignorant people really need advices like that but I think it's a gruffy greeting for innocent artless people that passes your page for the first time. Maybe I would express this warning with subtler hints. Hm, what do you think?

i had an experience, yes.. an extralong chain letter with conseguens account suspension..
so i've posted that.. as a warning yes, but also as a funny thing.. infact has received some favs, too..
maybe as a "webcam"? or you have suggestions to render it more funny without change the message?
i can add also simple animations..

Yeah, I also had such a stupid chain letter on my page not long time ago. I asked the girl why she is doing those brainless things and it seemded she didn't think before she acted. Which deviant was it in your case? Maybe it was the same person.
More funny message without changing the meaning? Take some phrases from the chain letters itself: If you are breaking this chain (=leaving studpid messages) a big catastrophe will come over you!!! Your lover will leave you, you will lose all your money or something like that.
