I really like the worms eye view of this composition. The Lava lord's form is showing very well. His posture looks quite powerful and his "anatomy" seems to very good too. The one thing I'm not sure is the weather it is fire or lava streams going up/donw his legs/body. If they are streams of lava, they should have more form to them and some reflections perhaps. If they were supposed to be flames, they don't really look too much like flames to me, or at least in some parts they do and in some they don't, but I think it was more an issue of time you had for this piece.
The foreground horseman seems to be done very well too, though the right leg of the hrose is too small I think. Not sure what your intention was with the horseman, but I would try to pop him out a bit more with the blue light coming off of his weapon. At first glance I didn't notice him at all.
If he was to be just some unimportant element (like just for scale comparision) I think he should have been less in focus (ie more blured, less detail etc). But other than that I think he and his horse are relly well done..
Overall I really like this piece! It is very powerful and cought my eye instantly! I love the colors too, though you could have put few more colors into it especially into background/foreground elements. But given it took only about 5 hours to paint it is really a great picture!
