Description Until recently I had never seen, let alone taken photographs of the northern lights. As luck would have it though I was out doing some night photography on what happened to be the night of one of the largest solar storms of the summer. I first noticed something green in the sky. After staring at it for a moment it started to move and I realized what I was looking at and quickly turned my camera to my new found interest. I ended up taking 117 pictures before I was too tired, absolutely giddy with joy at what was unfolding in front of me. By far the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I hope you enjoy this display of natural beauty as much as I did!

I've only seen the Aurora Borealis once. Spent two years living in Fort McMurray, Alberta, and only saw them ONCE! Oh well, I'm moving to Norway for a while, so there should be plenty more opportunities. Beautiful photo. If I stare at it blankly, I can almost see it move. Or that could just be the lack of sleep setting in.

Very beautiful. You are very lucky to live in a part of the world where you can see something like that. It is one of my goals before I die.

Unfortunatly I no longer live in an area blessed with such beauty. This shot is from the three months I spent in Japer Alberta this past summer. Now I live in Mississauga, one of this 6 larget cities in Canada, and right beside the biggest, Toronto.
