Now it just needs cel-quality ink-&-paint work, and lots of little backlit effects in the seams, bays and points/corners.

Okay. I might be misunderstood by clash of terminology.
What I was trying to say is...how can I say this?
Can you save the original linework as a separate file, and then use that as a practice canvas for your efforts with effects?
Does that make any sense? I'm totes not up on my terminology for this kind of tech.

you're welcome, if you  search another  logicial   for the colors, i use gimp2 it's a freeware

by the way,about my virtual fighter, do you remember the movie's name that  it does look like?
