This is a super gripping color combination, using a fiery-yellow orange against a receding purple, with the glow of space a blue that has a color that suggests the aliveness of space with radiation.
The red and white coat of the spacecraft really shines here, carrying that highly polished quality suggested in many of the old Japanese super-robot models used in anime.
The fiery colors suggests a possible conflict brewing, but one just beneath the surface.Β The sense of a conflict could lead to the interpretation of the ship being perhaps in pursuit of an object.
The otherworldliness is not lost in this piece, and it looks very exciting to look at.Β The ship not only has an appealing design (from this angle) and looks solid (although proportionally it could be seen as being somewhat small) but it looks great set against the background and illustrated with the colors shown here, making it appear fully a part of this piece.

This is the only mixed media work I did, now if I look back, there are way too many purple, space background need some improvement, the spacecraft blend in well although I doubt I will do this kind thing again. Im not a fan of giant robot genre, these things lack a settle sensitivity, but in order to overcome limitation of 3D work, I had to borrow some of those styles for the space craft.
