ABSOLUTELY STINKING AWESOME picture !!! I loved playing this game! BEAUTIFUL graphics, great space battles and a compelling story line. Homeworld has to one of the greatest strategy games going, especially with the 3D environment and the ability to enter the cockpit of any fighter. Fabulous game!
And you've more than done it justice with this art.
I enjoyed the game so much, I wound up buying Homeworld-2 and Homeworld Cataclysm... Good times!

I have all 3 games but too bad they don't make them anymore. My Cataclysm was came from a software bundle when someone brought a computer.
That would be much more awesome if they can let you take control the ship you are viewing from.

Its kinda impossible to make a HW3, the origional team is no longer there and RTS is not doing well these days, despite SC2's success, the RTS genre is close to dead.

I hope they don't just rush copy SC, as perfect as it is, I found myself enjoying C&C's game style more. The thing is that they need to step aside the e-sport thinge, and make interesting games. Also not every game have to be top notch 3D effects, 2D graphic can do just fine.

That's true, I used to play a Chinese RTS game called "ιη²ι£ζ΄", idk if you understand what it means or what it is at all, but that's a very potentially interesting game..
Units come in with 3 different parts, Movement parts, Body parts and Weapon parts. and you can customize them all depends on how you want it. and the resources are Taxes from the colonies you managed to protect.... very fun game at my young age.
Graphic is actually better than Red Alert 98, but worse than CNC2.
another game called "Freedom and Horner", also a very good game, though they all died.
Sadly that China's filled with illegal copies and many of such good game never earn enough respect to make a 2nd generation...

Oh the "Metal Storm", I remember that game, in my opinion the best RTS made in Asia, Korea and Japan also attempted to make RTS of their own but none was close to success, "Metal Storm" was a unique game that I thought it came from Western company. Its a shame that game did not went "big" its going to have a much better luck if it were released in the West during the RA generation, its name sound great in English "Metal Storm".
If I remember correctly "Freedom and Horner" was a game that you assemble giant spaceship in 2D, just think about the possiablity if they had HW engine. Its a shame that the only game dominate now days are stupid MMOs.

Modern game want to be "more than just game". Game used to be toys, but now days its "technology" "social network" "movie" and "sport".

Some did good job, some did bad job.. I always believe games are for fun... and Diablo3 is now an artwork.. but a bad game..

I was terrible at Homeworld but I still appreciated how well they did with so few polys and such low resolution everything.

Homeworld was one of the best game making example ever, it so successfully utilized the few assets and created an unique atmosphere. I like how its art style was different from most scifi designs.
