Ash never actually scanned a Koffing with the Pokedex before though so there's that at least. Who know's what new info there'll be + Iris and Cilan can hear it too.

The Pokedex 'acedently' scaned Ash! Here's what came up-
*pokedex* Ash: The idiot Pokemon. He constently asks questions he asked in the last episode. Claims to favor a specific hat in Kanto, then gets a new one each generation. Likes his best friend Pikachu, because he has no others. His Pikachu claims to be the best, though it fails almost every time. (exception: Team Rocket *see rockets*) If Ash wanted a chance to beat anyone he should 1. use his old pokemon (so far he caught them to put them in a box) or 2. use Snivy.
