Oh man, I've no idea how you did it, but I absolutely LOVE the dark, muted blue-to-orange gradient of the backlit trees!

At first, I didn't like how sharp the foreground is compared to everything else, partially because the white glimmers of light on the leaves on the right-hand side of the photo contrast with the soft, golden light on the ground of the left-hand side. But upon looking a second time, I think it works well. The clarity sort of sweeps from left to right - does that make any sense? The whole piece feels like a giant sweeping motion to me.

I really like how the main tree isn't centered. I'm rather fond of asymmetry in photography, and I'm not sure why. I do think, however, that if you cropped the right side just enough to clip off that edge of tree trunk in the top right-hand corner, that the light might flow a bit better throughout the top portion of the piece. That's a bit of asymmetry that doesn't quite work in my eyes.

Let's see...I also really love the ghostly forms of the little brush branches that curl at the tops. I could keep looking at them for a long time
