So earlier this week I was walking through the campus hallways when a poster appeared over and over along the walls that caught my attention: [link] Some kind of ad to entice the Illustration Majors at school, I suppose.β¦so finally, today I pulled one off the wall and had a little fun with it. I just drew the one thing was on my mind each and every time I passed by one of those posters. ^__^

Ahhh! You made her so georgous! Rip is so sexy>< And the tilt of the face and her gun are both very well done.
As for Hellsing TV, well the only thing I could say after watching it was;
"Incognito? I lost Rip for Incognito!?"
Although I am aware that Rip only came out after Hellsing TV I couldn't help but feel I got cheated...

Ja, SERIOUSLY. I've noticed in a LOT of 13-episode runs, that, if only the animation studios had just held out a little longer they would have had tooons of awesome material to work with. Gunslinger Girl TV also ends very abruptly with way too many loose ends. Midori no Hibi TV axed all the BEST side characters and subplots.
But, in the case of all three titles, I guess the animation studios DID succeed in that they got me started on the manga versions. Hellsing just one-upped them all by being REBORN.

Dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooood. Rip van Winkle is the AWESOMENESS. Seriously, I think that she is perhaps the secondmost badass character in Hellsing behind Alucard. Followed closely by Anderson.

I know, it's so sad. Especially when the manga is SO MUCH BETTER than the anime.
I think the worst thing I saw was a review someone had posted in a bulliten about the Hellsing OVA (Which actually follows the manga. I know where a preview is, if you'd like to see it. She's in the preview, too. ^^ ). They said that it was just the first few episodes of the manga re-drawn, and it dissapointed them, as they were expecting a sequal to the anime. It mad me cry inside.

Oh yeah, I hunted down the preview on YouTube.com earlier this year (when I first discovered the awesomeness of the manga). ^^ I like how the animators handled Rip's "magic bullets" (and moreso, Alucard/Anderson battling)
Gyah, I feel the same as you. The animation (and especially the ending) did a real disservice to Hirano's work. It'd be hard to make a sequel based off that. The joke's on them of course because the OAV will probably lure more people onto the manga (to see how the story picks up where the OAV will leave off! ^___^)

I know, I do love the way they made them look. Those magic bullets make me happy. Why can't we get magic bullets?
Yeah. I mean, it's still a cool show, but when compared to the original manga and what they're doing with the new OVA, there's just no room for a series that could have been done right the first time, but instead became half-assed. I must admit that they had one hell of a soundtrack for it, though. That, and a great voice cast. If nothing else.
And finally, FINALLY we get to see Cap'n Pip animated. I do love the capitan, he is a wonderful character. I wonder who's gonna do his voice, though... (They confirmed that the original voice cast from the first one is coming to do this one too, which is good, because the show had people that fit the parts perfectly. 12/05/06, countin down the months!)

Chur, your mind is crazy! I'm loving the details right now; the sleevecuffs and the tie-neck thang. Sometimes I just wanna do stuff like that to propaganda I see whilst going about my daily rounds..!
PS- Several of my classes ATM are persuading me to look at that swastika there in the context of both the Nazi party as well as it's unassuming paganistic origins. And damns if I don't see it working both ways, somehow..

Hehe. At my school people are allowed to submit graduation work under 'category: propaganda'. :3 (Michael Bay graduated from this place doing propaganda TV bits ....he should have stuck to that instead of making movies) ^~;
Not that I draw the thing OFTEN, but I believe clockwise swastika = Eastern philosophical symbol and counter-clockwise = Nazi. The character happens to be part of a Nazi organization in the manga.... ;ΓΎ (Kudos to your classes for taking a more open-minded view about this than most people in the States~)
