Born into a major crime syndicate, Diver quickly climbed through the ranks of Herder Alliance's underworld and led a long career as leader to a loyal band of mercenaries.

However, this life abruptly ended when his group wiped during an ambush by pigskin rogues from the rival faction Mopp-Poinklok. Gravely wounded and unconscious, Diver was as good as dead until Alex intervened and pulled him away from the pigskins, who went about executing the remaining mercenaries before leaving.

Upon waking from five months of critical care, Diver realized his former life was over and with Alex's insistence, reluctantly agreed to follow Zero.

Due to Zero accumulating a crippling amount of scars from defending the colony alone during his recovery, Diver joined as the only combat-capable member at the time and was granted the best cybernetic upgrades and combat implants that Zero could provide.

Shouldering the obligation to ultimately repay his debts, Diver alone defended the colony from swarms of raiders, mechanoids, and all manner of legendary beasts for three long years until the arrival of his wife-to-be: a Revian named Anaconda.
