Man i just love that first panel though.....Anyway,what is up with Mario's breathing patterns?
He can breathe underwater in every 2d game but not in most 3d games (cause in super mario 3d land you can breathe underwater)
oh poor nintendo logic,actually....

So far, the only games Mario can die underwater is Mario 64/3D, Super Mario Sunshine (even with his diving helmet on?) and Mario Galaxy 1/2.
Sonic could learn a thing or two from Mario, that way Sonic could survive much better underwater and NOT need the bubble shield! xD
