Description
I wasn't really sure whether to post this or not. I thought that it would be selfish of me not to share the colors with you all. So if nothing else, I hope that you enjoy the colors!Related content

Thank you! The smoke if from incense burning. It usually smells pretty good. Sometimes, the Japanese will rub the smoke all over their bodies before approaching to pray. Its very interesting to watch.

Thanks for the explanation! Like to hear that very much. At first it was hard for me to like anything coming from Japan, because the Japanese killed my grandfather during WWII in Indonesia while he was in a concentration camp there. But I feel attracted to Japan. Its mysterious, red books about it, love the kimono's, tradition, festivities and buildings. And I enjoy the pictures (your husband/friend) billsabub is adding to DA, and your other friend rubberman542 lately. I'm always looking forward to new pictures!
For his job my father had to stay in Tokyo for about half a year in the 60s. He gave me two beautiful masks a couple of month ago. I'll take their picture an add it to my DA.

My pleasure
That's so cool that you guys both enjoy photography... my wife is grea, she always comes along to keep me company, but she's usually bored to tears when I'm shooting

I did get kind of bored before Bill put the camera in my hand. I don't shoot as much as him though since its film.
You guys live in Tokyo?

Maybe I should try that... I gave her my old camera, but she never takes it with her (except to amily occasions), it would be so fun to go out shooting together!
Yes, we live near Komazawa Daigaku, in Setagaya-ku (3 stops from Shibuya)

Oh wow! That's beautiful! What's that big pot for in the front? Burning incense? Is this a Shinto temple or a Buddhist one?

Thank you so much!
You are right. The big pot is for burning incense. This pot is at Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, suburb of Tokyo, which is a Buddhist Temple.
