See, now, I see this, and all I can think of is that two-page montage of Pyg dancing around for a very unimpressed Robin. XD

For real though, it looks crash

Is he a foe to batman?

Yes. Professor Pyg was created during Grant Morrison's run as a Batman writer, he originally faces of Dick and Damian as Batman and Robin

Which stories is he appearing as an villain?

As far as major story arcs go,
Batman and Robin (v1) Batman: Reborn
Batman and Robin (v1) Batman and Robin Must Die
Damian: Son of Batman (which, if you haven't read it, is not that same as the upcoming movie at all, by the way. It's an alternate future deal like Batman 666, where Damian becomes Batman)

I think he's also in,
Batman (v1) #666 (I think it's called Batman in Bethleham or something; a pre-52 alternate future issue)
Beware the Batman (like, the TV show. I haven't seen it, but I've heard he makes an appearance)

He might be in more, I just can't seem to think of them at the moment / I may not have read them. He's new though (first appearance ~2007) so he's not in a WHOLE lot

Just got my hands on Batman: Eternal. Pyg's in that too~ Briefly, and he doesn't really do much except for set the stage for other mishaps and get his ass kicked, but it kind of counts, hahaha.

Pig is not a good character as the joker dont you agreed?

Agreed. I definitely like the complexity of the Joker better, and the relationship between him and Batman, and the way he interacts with some other characters. And I definitely love the progressions the Joker has gone through over the years. (I actually wrote a brief character analysis of Mr J once just for fun). That being said, Pyg isn't by any means a Joker rip-off (not that you said he was, it's just that I've seen that opinion around), he just happens to be another whimsical psychopath. And as Dick's first major villain as Batman, I definitely think having a whimsical nutjob of his own to face down was a good decision (because really, it wouldn't be the same to have non-Bruce Batman square off against the Joker, it just wouldn't quite do the rivalry the traditional Killing Joke -esque poetry it deserves). I can't say as I "like" Pyg per se, because he's an arguably pedophilic weirdo, but I do find him an interesting character, and I can appreciate the cross between whimsical murderer and sadistic medical villain. If I have to pick a favourite of the two, Joker would take that one hands down, but that doesn't mean I'm any less fascinated by Professor Pyg. Know what I mean?

I know what you mean. What do you think about catwoman or the penguin?

Madigan-xo In reply to mandarinmannen [2014-04-16 20:07:05 +0000 UTC]

Catwoman depends on the incarnation for me. I mean, I like that she's kind of more anti-hero than villain, and sometimes she's really quite noble and activist-y and I can respect that, and sometimes she's sassy and kind of hilarious and I can dig that. But then sometimes she's really just Batman's naughty fetishist groupie (at least, that's all I get out of her sometimes), and I find that a little boring. So, I'm fifty-fifty on her, I guess. I either love her or I can't stand her.

As for Cobblepot, I guess I don't often think much of him at all. I dig the mobster thing, and I love all the bird puns and pinstriped suits. Not to mention I totally love his badass umbrella. I honestly don't really find myself all that interested in his personality, so I don't really put much thought into it, but I absolutely love his image and all of the other Penguin-specific things about him. Plus, all of his exploding birds and sea creatures are pretty amusing in the 60s tv show, hahahahaha~

Yeah it sure so you say that jack napier and the joker is a bigger favorite right?

Madigan-xo In reply to mandarinmannen [2014-04-17 01:47:50 +0000 UTC]

I find both more interesting ("both" used loosely, given that Jack is technically a Joker alter-ego) than Catwoman or Penguin overall, but no, the Joker isn't my favourite Batman villain (shocking, right? Hahah). Honestly, if I had to pick favourites, I'd have to go for Scarecrow. I personally find the neurochemistry and psychology of fear extremely interesting in a general sense, so I have a fondness for the villain with a similar (albeit way more psychotic) fascination. Freeze is high up on my list too (even now with his new rebooted way more crazy, way less tragic backstory). And Harley in terms of character growth (and her adorable relationship with Ivy), I find interesting as well. And from a scientific, toxicological and biochemical standing (don't mind me, major science geek here), I can dig a lot of Ivy's and Bane's details and technicalities, too. But, I could go on for days about all the things I like about a good deal of BatFamily villains. It's occurring to me just now that on someone else's fantastic work isn't really the place for that. Oops. I am so sorry 4thWallDesign!!  If you wanted to keep talking villains and whatnot, maybe message me privately or post on my page so that we don't clutter up this talented man's photo?

Okay i get it. Have you ever see something interesting with ivy. You know that the only thing she can do is her plantpowers and without them she can't protect herself because she is an fysical weak girl?

Hi, thanks for the comment.

I do sell copies of my masks - I can;t really call it mass producing, as each one is hand cast from the moould, and moulds only have a limited shelflife too.
