Description
Original Meme byFullmetal Alchemist crossing over would be spectacular, whether in a special crossover game featuring both their franchises, OR if one cameoed in the same game of the other. THIS is an idea for Kingdom Hearts IV to capitalize on, where in this world, Sora was taken to it in the teaser trailer, where Sora is guided by the suddenly-alive-and-well fellow Keyblade Wielder from centuries ago, Strelitzia, through this new metropolian city, where an advanced ancient Heartless is encountered.
I didn't add the MoM or Luxu because they seem to be the types who appear in more than one world, while Strelitzia, or her body, seems stuck exclusively in Quadratum. The enigmatic Yozora and his unnamed friends and love interest may appear as well. It's heavily implied the Nameless Star in the Final World was once the girl Yozora tried to save from the giant robots in that...commercial from the Toy Box world, but there may be a chance that spirit was actually someone else entirely.
The choices here also coincide somehow with the recent KH lore, regarding unseen Darknesses seeking their own bodies, this is especially true with some of the Fullmetal Alchemist characters' cases.Β For the Fullmetal Alchemist cast, I wanted to choose the characters who wouldn't need much tweaking, yet could use an appropriate change when they appear in such a world...
Edward Elric ~ His role in Quadratum could be as a World-Exclusive Party Member alongside Alphonse. In this world, Edward could be applying for the Police Department, to keep Quadratum safe from any and all criminals. He is on a search for enigmas (in other words, the unnatural events caused by the Heartless and the Master of Masters and/or Luxu) to change his Brother back into a human. This plot may be an interesting story to merge with the main story if Edward and Sora can team up for the final world/dungeon of KH4.
Alphonse Elric ~ Similar to Edward, Al can be a World Exclusive Party Member. His kindness and his wisdom could benefit Sora in a heavy and tragic situation, and in the end, what Al told Sora could benefit him against one of the bigger villains in the story. A shocking situation would also be where the Master of Masters is somehow POSSESSING Al's human body, but that might be a little extreme for some fans.
Winry Rockbell ~ Winry's roll can be considered the Synthesis part of the world. Moogles normally would be in charge in some way of the mechanic, but for Quadratum, Winry's role in customizing prosthetics could expand to that of Keyblade Customization. Winry's not just a 'shop' character though, so fans deserve to see her interact more with the story. I don't know how, but if written well, I can see Winry and (if possible) Kairi befriending each other.
Sheska ~ One of the side characters who deserve more love in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise. Sheska could be a library caretaker who looks after not just Quadratum's history and stories, but also many grimoires that could grant Sora a special spell or upgrade when read. I can also see Sheska give Sora his own Journal since Jiminy is nowhere with him this time.
May Chang ~ Xingese characters could appear in Quadratum either through the KH tradition of going to other worlds, OR, for this world, they could have used traditional methods like either ship, planes, and so on, showing that Quadratum isn't a simple 'world', but a country. May Chang could be the one to introduce that method, as she could tell Sora how she arrived, only for him to suddenly question it. May would also be a fun little friend for Sora to team up with during the game's story or maybe a few side missions.
Ling Yao ~ The Philosopher Stone and Kingdom Hearts might be considered similar as their methods both require sacrifice on a large scale, so it might be interesting for the prince of Xing, Ling Yao, to reveal the existence of such a stone. Chances are his search might even get him into trouble with certain foes like Luxu or more. Despite his dark search, Ling would be a fun friend for Sora to make while sparring with him occasionally.
Lan Fan ~ Ling Yao's bodyguard, who would be fun to see begin a rivalry with Sora, while Sora himself is more interested in getting to know such an adorable bodyguard. Chances are we will be seeing these two fight before they team up to save her 'Master Ling'.
Rose Thomas ~ Her involvement in the story might be better off rewritten, making her a foreigner who was visiting the country/city/world of Quadratum, but her time in the world might actually be fun as Sora befriends her and learns from her about other parts of a single world, which he understandably thought were limited to about 2 or 3 large locations. I'd actually like to see Sora develop feelings for her, which might throw him off in a humorous way. LOL It might also be fun for Rose to pick up the Keyblade and beat Dante up...that's my opinion at least.
Maes Hughes ~ I didn't want to add too much convolution to the idea if it was going to work, so I limited the familiar and supportive members to the same military group Ed worked with to just Mares Hughes, whose role in this world is as a police officer, who is looking forwards to seeing Edward become a fellow cop like him. I can see Hughes being a supportive and helpful character who teaches Sora more than he was expecting.
Elicia Hughes ~ Maes' daughter, Elicia, is an adorable little adventurous girl, who takes after her father in a lot of ways. Gracia could be seen with her and Maes, but I thought Elicia was more prominent to feature in the listing, especially since her infectious smile can lighten up a mansion of sad-sacks. Elicia might also be a neat "Secret Movie" reveal for who could be Sora's successor as the next Keyblade Wielder.
~ Villains ~
Apart from world-drifting mysteries like the MoM and Luxu, and Disney Villains like Maleficent and the ever tubby mischief-making Pete, I thought villains connected to the world exclusively would be a neat way to make the plot progress closer to both the Lost Master and the threat of the unknown Darkness-like spirits seeking to possess bodies...
Lyra/Dante ~ Her role MIGHT (and I do mean 'might') be used for Strelitzia, assuming she's NOT who she appears to be, but for now, Dante would be a great main antagonist for Quadratum to support the coming theories, threats, and stories of the coming Darkness, as she may be introduced as an ally who is at first shown to care for Sora, but near the end, Dante reveals that "Lyra" died years ago after she stole her body, being a voice for the Darkness, as well as an aid to the Master of Masters and Luxu, what she knows, and the alchemic power she possesses could out-maneuver, and perhaps even challenge Sora in a much larger scale, similar to the 2003 anime's threat, yet I can see Kingdom Hearts IV REALLY letting her skills loose by having her transmute literal buildings and streets into enormous and life-threatening obstacles and enemies. Dante could also be featured as the high-class kingpin sort of antagonist who lives rich and unharmed because of the connections she has.
Greed ~ Like Dante, Greed could be an example of the darkness that Sora has to face near the future, after Dante forces one of the Darkness beings into Ling, turning him into her partner in crime, at least in a way. Sora's battle with Greed will definitely be epic, given the martial arts Ling is known for, along with Greed's super strength and heightened abilities, including the Ultimate Shield, which could present a unique challenge to Sora. Whether or not Greed will follow Ling's advice and become an ally or be a critical headache for Sora before the finale can be anyone's guess, but for now, I'll leave it up to everyone's imagination.
Unseen characters might be considered, Gracia being one of them, while, if fans want, Roy Mustang could be cast as the Police Commissioner of Quadratum, with Riza Hawkeye as the Detective of the force. The world could be fun if Sora and Edward did missions together to arrest certain classic antiheroes and villains from the Fullmetal Alchemist and Final Fantasy (and maybe other Square-Enix franchises, if allowed) franchises, as criminals. One character on my mind who could work as an optional boss...or another main antagonist for Kingdom Hearts IV, is King Bradley, the wielder of the Ultimate Eye, and possibly the best villain in the Fullmetal Alchemist franchise.
I'll hope for the best for Fullmetal Alchemist to appear somewhat similarly like this in future Kingdom Hearts titles, but for now, this will represent it's potential as a world or a cameo in the franchise.
If it does appear, I would actually like the game to be T Rated to not completely remove most of what Fullmetal Alchemist so legendary.
Anywho, Fullmetal Alchemist in Quadratum from Kingdom Hearts IV, what do you all think?
