FINALLY! I'm done with Colin's design! Which means I'm almost done with the main teachers! BTW once I'm done with the main teachers, I'll be posting stuff about the AU in journal entries and stuff, more on that later. So now let's get into Colin's design and abilities!

Design: For Colin I've noticed most people just make him look like a nerd and that's it. But I wanted to do a bit more than that. I still went it for the nerd look but I also wanted him to look more like a door to door salesman. Because in DHMIS 4 when he starts asking the main three questions, he definitely sounded like one. I also wanted him to have more of a 90s feel to him because he's obviously based on one of those beige bulky computers from the 90s. Speaking of which, I don't know if it's obvious, but along with making him more like a humanoid puppet like the rest of the gajinkas, I also wanted him to look like a robot. I used a few vintage robot references, but I don't know if it's that noticable. The plug kinda has to do with that, but I mostly included it because I've noticed some people like drawing Colin with a plug tail and I thought it was cute so I added it. But for the most part I wanted him to look like a millennial, because I wanted to base the laptop more on gen z. (Yes I have a Gijinka for the laptop already, I have doodles of her in my status posts is you want to see.) Lastly I gave him these old headphones because I thought they'd look cool and I imagine he'd use them to listen to music on a walkman or something. He kind of looks like a vocaloid to me, which is perfect honestly since he's literally a singing computer. XD

Abilities: First off, his glasses are screens that display his eyes, so he cannot take them off. They can show pictures and emoticons but for the most part they are mood based. I decided for his red wire hands the cables work like puppeteer string and can grab and wrap around things, the mind control part only works in the digital world. (I know I ripped that from Error Sans but I really just wanted his cable hands to do SOMETHING more than just look scary, plus he basically mind controls Doy and Robin at the end of DHMIS 4 so it fits). One ability that I forget to include was, in the digital world, he can swap out one of his hands for one of the mouse cursors in his pocket. He's not limited to just those two though. I forgot to show this in the ref but I might draw it some time so you can see what it looks like.

BTW, I had an extra outfit I designed for him but I just wanted to get this over with so I'll probably update this with an extra some other time. Anyway I hope you like it! Enjoy
