Description
This is Bud. Like most cacti, he is kind and sweet. Unlike most cacti, he likes to eat. His favorite food was cave mushrooms for their glowing energy. But enough about that.
After the events of JSAB, Bud was one of the many cacti and shapes that that were "lost". These citizens were taken to a secret facility somewhere in the shape world. The goal of the mysterious ones who ran it was to study the effects of corruption and other transformative substances. Bud himself was used to test concentrated corruption. This made him slowly transform into a new grotesque shape. The concentrated corruption gave Bud greatly enhanced strength, long claws, and a back full of of long spines.
It seemed as if Bud was a success, however this corruption began to slowly deteriorate his mind. He became a vacant drooling fool, incredibly friendly and childish, and pitifully naive and trusting. Because of Bud's mental state and his over-corrupted body, he was useless for further data. Bud was kept around however, to become a dumping ground for other substances. Eventually his body was so steeped in vile concoctions it was dangerous to touch him with bear hands. Bud also doesn't know his own strength. The last substance administered to Bud so far is the newly discovered Ruin, a natural perma-corruption. It seems Bud has some resistance to it.
Bud's "abilities":
toxic drool. A horrifying mutagen that slowly and painfully corrupts victims. It can kill smaller shapes.
corrupting tears. Bud's tears are corruption.
Ruined hand. An injury caused by Bud's right hand will Ruin victims.
toxic skin. It is not advised to touch Bud without protection.

He seems nice,I'd like meet him too
*I walk down the hall of the building looking at the various "living quarters" on its side aware of the occupants that were sleeping in them,I then find myself at the end of the hall the space in front of me is rather big I can also catch the acrid scent of many toxic aromas,I see a sign at the Side of the door it says the following "danger subject is highly toxic do not under any circumstances make physical contact at all costs" followed by a biohazard sign at the side of it,I take a long metal bar out of my pocket then quietly bang the two bars between it clutching a basket I had with me its contents covered by a small blanket*

*you can hear heavy footsteps from the other side of the door

*My triangular cat like ears perk up when i hear them as the unseen creature draws nearer to my side of the door i can also hear the sound of heavy breathing,i hold the basket i was carrying in my hands much tighter as the sounds draw closer still*

*suddenly you can see the huge face of the creature. He has wide innocent eyes and a scary but smiling mouth filled with small and sharp teeth and oily black drool

*i step back with a scared 'reet' almost startled by him i gather my composure snapping my fingers a i now was wearing a teal hazmat suit i step towards the door swiping a card through a slot, i enter the lair of beast still carrying the basket in my hands a sweet aroma comes from it*

*Bud grins down at you, drool carelessly running down his face
Bud: Friend?

*I take out a small glowing triangle from the basket with a mushroom and hand it to him*
Me:"yes I am a friend"

*Bud's huge face crinkles in a joyous smile.
Bud: Play? *He is as eager and trusting as a puppy

*I carefully slip a hand in the pocket of my suit fishing out another metal stick,but I keep the other hand on the bounty I was carrying with me*
Me:*smiling*"alright I'll play with you"

Bud: Play!
The smiling giant reaches towards you with his Ruined hand, unaware of what damage it could do
Bud: Play tag!

*I smile playfully at him I read some files on the "ruin" corruption I silently thank myself for the hazmat suit that I had on knowing that I was safe from it,I then examine the metal stick I had in my hand I was planning for a game of fetch,he might be beastly but he was not as stupid as one might think,I gently poke him with the stick*
Me:"challenge excepted*runs to the other side of the room* your it!"
*i shapeshift to adapt to the situation my legs become almost velociraptor-like legs with wheels connected to my feet granting me enhanced speed*

*Bud comes bounding after you laughing carelessly, seemingly not noticing your transformation.

*I quickly skip away bouncing and running all the while laughing to myself as skip and run at a fast pace with him following me joyous at the possibility of me being a new friend and playmate*
Me:*smiling*"catch me if you can"

Bud: Huh, huh, huh! I get you!
*Bud is completely into the game of tag, his tongue lolls out of the side of his mouth his arms in front of him. he laughs his booming laugh as he attempts to tag you

*i continue to hop skip,and run giggling,his humor is contagious to me,I then purposefully stand still smiling pretending that I gave up*
Me:*hands in the air*"I give up you're too fast for me"

*Bud catches up and rather roughly tags you on the back he then picks you up and gives you a tight squeeze
Bud: Huh! Huh! Huh! I got you!
*He forgets about the other part of the game still laughing and hugging you

*I laugh to myself excepting his warm embrace for a few minutes,that is until I felt my ribs cracking like candy wrappers my breathing becoming strained*
Me:*strained*"um, can't, breathe ,let, go, please?"
*he doesn't pay attention to my pleas oblivious of the situation I was in,I then quite literally melt out of his grasp suit and all into a puddle of teal-ish cyan colored goop a saucer like object floats above my body it floats upward the goo following suit as it forms a humanoid shape with triangle like ears floating above my head two hazel eyes visible on the surface of my face with no mouth whatsoever,I had become a polymorph*

*Bud gasped, his wide eyes grew wider and he began to cry believing that he melted you somehow. he kneels down with a thud and pokes you
Bud: Friend? Friend?
*as you start to reform he stares in wonderment, tears still in his eyes

Me:"sorry I didn't mean to scare you like that, It was just reflex that's all"
*my voice sounds slightly different with a metallic hint to it curtsey of the saucer like object floating above my head*
Me:*petting bud*"I'm still your friend"
*takes out three cupcakes*
Me:"care for a snack?"

*Bud enjoys the petting though there are still tears in his eyes however, he brightens immediately at the sight of food. the oily black drool flows
Bud bellows joyfully "FOOD!"

*i flinch at the sudden noise my jelly like form quivering from the sound of his voice*
Me:"I'm glad your happy to see me again but please don't shout next time"
*he calms down slightly still intent on the cupcakes with a look of hunger in his eyes,I then get out a napkin to wipe off the drool from his mouth staining the cloth with the oily substance*
Me:"please don't drool it's not very polite to do"
*he tilts his head at my choice of words,but I snap him out of it by placing the cupcakes in his paws*
Me:"Here you go,you deserve these..."

*For a split second Bud's eyes light up with-is that gratitude?-before popping the cupcakes into his giant mouth. he didn't care that he made a bit of a mess eating them
Bud: They good! *remembering what you said about shouting Bud lowers his voice* food good!
*he looks at your basket with an eager, almost begging expression. with his tongue hanging from his mouth once again, he looked somewhat like a puppy

Me:"okay you can have more,but don't eat too much okay?"
*he nods enthusiastically at me as I place more treats in front of him on a plate as well as a couple mushrooms and triangles,I pet him gently as I do so*

*mushrooms and triangles are his favorite treat, the pure glowing energy was quite refreshing and as a corrupt, it gave him a pleasant tingle. Bud shivered in delight as me ate them. He eats so enthusiastically that the toxic drool flows again
Bud: These good...good shroom! good tr'angle!

Me:*smiling*"well I'm glad you like them,but please don't talk with your mouth full it's not polite"
*as I say this I wipe his mouth with a napkin,he stops eating,looking at me apologetically*
Bud:"Sorry..."
Me*petting him gently*:"it's okay sweetheart I know you don't mean to..."*thinking "considering the fact that you weren't taught correctly by those vultures"*
*he seems to like me petting him,as I do this I turn back into my normal form hazmat suit and all only this time my wings poke out from two holes located on the upper back of my suit,he notices this and is instantly intrigued this*
Me:*noticing him staring at my wings*"oh you like them?,well you can touch them if you like,oh and don't worry I'm completely poison-proof even without the suit but only for a short time,but my the wings"

*Bud hesitantly touched you wings at first. but as he discovered just how soft they were his usual roughness returns. petting your wings enthusiastically, he giggles
Bud: Soft! Soft wings!
*he carelessly begins to stroke your wings with his Ruined hand...

*i flinch from the pain,my wings twitching as he did this,I thank my lucky stars silently that my wings were corruption proof as well as poison proof,but still I was in discomfort*
Me:*pained*"hey,ow!,can you,ow!,not,ow,be so,ow!,rough!,ow!"
*he then stopped,he seemed in what I could tell concerned for my wellbeing*
Bud:"sorry"
Me:"it's okay,I don't blame you,you're just yourself that's all"
*I then go up to hug him,my arms only go halfway around his waist,my wings wrapping around him,in a affectionate way to show him that he was loved*

*Bud smiles warmly down at you and begins to hug you back but stops himself, remembering what happened last time. Instead, Bud stands there enjoying your presence
Bud: You good friend...You stay? *there is a hint loneliness in his voice

*I smile up at him looking into his eyes*
Me:"of course I'll stay"
*I pet him gently as he smiles at me,to most he was a poisonous creature but to me he was a sweet yet rough gentle giant*

*Bud made noises of happiness, no one stayed with him. they would come in and cause him pain then leave. this friend only made him happy and sayed they would stay.
emotion overwhelmed Bud and he cried tears of joy.

Me:*petting him gently*"there there sweetheart I got you"
*i smile sweetly up at him,I wasn't going to cause harm to this lovable beast,I was going to keep him company,as I think this I slowly nod off and fall asleep arms and wing still wrapped around him*

*Bud just stood there for awhile enjoying your sleepy hug. then he gently (for the first time) set you in a corner
Bud: *whispering Friend stay...Friend stay!
*He is still full of energy from his meeting with you but he lays on the floor close to you smiling
Bud: Good friend...you sleep now. You stay always.
*Bud knew the two of theme would have many days together
