First of all I like this photo, but i won't say i love it.
There is some very interesting conceptual proposition in this piece. I'll try to critique them as a full, not 2 separate photos.
The blue tone gives a good washed out sad feeling, or a very deep coldness, there is a nice sorrow emotion being portrayed. Also I like the fact that in the left image, while using the common reading scheme (left to right) it seems we are far away over a very big puddle wich creates an feeling of distance, details on her face are blurry and hard to distinguish, yet would like to know more. On the right image the zoom effect is created by giving us more detail, but the feeling of distance is only amplified by her facial expression that seem to convey a negative emotion.
I although am a bit disappointed by the presentation of the piece. I'm absolutely not sure if those two images or independent or part of a series. Maybe I'm reading them wrong and they need to be 2 independent photos. I think that lack of presentation could of been solved by adding a border to both image or 1 large one unifying them.
Also the composition is very centered, it does add a nice focus to the subject, but i always find centered composition to be bland and make me lose a bit of my interest due to the fact that almost 99% of everything we see is centered.
Great job on the photo I really enjoyed looking a it and doing a more in depth analysis. I can tell there was something deeper than just a point and click in there.
