Ace died, because of big stupidness of Oda. I don't know what he was thinking while killing Ace in manga/anime, but it was the stupidest thing he could ever do...

Well I am glad other people are on the same page as me! If they weren't they'd be crazy! It does seem kinda stupid! Some people say Ace needed to die..... I think OP could go on with Ace living!!!!!!!!!: Without Ace it feels like something important is missing....

You know, if Ace didn't die, then Luffy would have another big opponent. After all both of them wanted to find One Piece, Luffy for himself, Ace for Whitebeard.
and thanks to Ace's death, Luffy discovered that he should be much stronger than he was in his current state while resciung Ace.
But nothing change, many people miss Ace so much, that it is even painful...

Yeah, he should, but I learned long time ago, that when some super awesome character died, then he DIED for sure... T.T It is unfair. It is like you said, Pell survived, even if he should be dead. Even Zorro should be dead many times, but he survived somehow...

Zoro freaking got cut open by Mihawk and then proceeded to fuck shit up in Arlong Park. Medical technicalities obviously don't matter in OP, except in backstories and with Ace. Oda tricked us for so long in thinking a character wouldn't die in the current time line, even if they got exploded or shot nine freaking times, but then OH LOOK ACE IS DEAD. FOR REAL.

RIGHT! And I should say, that even Luffy should be dead countles of time! But he is main protagonist, so he SHOULDN'T die! Stupid Oda, he thinks it is right to kill one of the best person in his anime! I bet, some fans just quit with watching/reading One Piece after Ace's death...

I always figured that he wouldn't kill off any of the Strawhats, but after Ace I'm kind of worried about them :/ If there's some big, main battle thing at the end of the series, who's to say he wouldn't kill one of them?

That will not happen. Strawhats will survive for sure. I think Oda could only once get away after killing awesome character - I mean Ace here - and after killing one of them - I mean Going Merry, because she was recognaized like a part of Mugiwaras - so I think he would never kill any of Luffy's crew.
But I don't mean to kill one of Strawhats, because there is two of them I just hate. They piss me off all the time...
