Too bad mods don't work in multiplayer anymore.
Also how does the game treats you, mine got completely broken after few patches from the mech update don't remember anymore. Basically I had to let's say hack the damn thing so I can run it but still there are frame drops. It use to work quite better on my old pc setup and with every patch ove the years the performance dropped. I thought maybe my pc is getting weak due to new things added to the game but that makes no sense since they also removed content not just added, plus noticed people with far better rigs having even worse issues than mine.

I plan on buying a new gpu in few months time so will see how will that help. But what I gathered so far starbound is more cpu heavy so not sure if it will help. Either way will see how it goes
