There's something that's been going for the past month, since the movie "The Lorax" was released in theaters, and it's about the popularity on the Once-ler. Now don't get me wrong,I like the Once-ler, but it's the personality that caught my attention. But what really bugs me is the Yaoi slash pairings, mostly the "Once-cest", "TedxOnce-ler", and Ugh "Once-lerxlorax". Why? Oh I don't know, maybe because it's A CHILDREN'S MOVIE BASED OFF A CHILDREN'S BOOK!?!?!?!?!?!?
And if Dr. Seuss was alive and saw this pairing, he would be ashamed, he really would.

I guess it isn't a movie that really has an antagonist. Very few Suess stories do.
I don't know...The last time a Danny DeVito character sent anyone up a river, it was in a Gotham City sewer and the Penguin killed whoever it was (or at least tried...or something). I think all DeVito characters are inherently evil to some degree, even if it's a small one. Lorax may have consciously thought he just wanted to send Once-ler far away, but subconsciously, he wanted to send him six feet under.

I do remember that the Lorax was about to attack the Once-ler's aunt, until the Once-ler questioned him if he'll hit a woman.

I have the read before, but I look at the pictures(my friends believe it was because it was my "ADD" due to the fact that I'm Autistic). I couldn't figure out some of it before, but now I finally understand the story. Now if only I can find the god damn book again. -3-;

Here's the thing...it's the Lorax, for cryin' out loud! Babies-having or not, Seuss characters and creatures are the most Fetish Retardant things in existence. Movie!Onceler is sort of on the line, an exception due to how much he was changed — into freakin' Mr. Fanservice — from the original book and animated short. But still, it's just...you don't sexualize/fetishize/romanti-freakin'-size stuff from Dr. Suess. You just don't.

Even though it's a children's book, people can always come to their own conclusions, it's happened in the majority of children's books/movies. I like Once-ler x Lorax but I don't hate you! Sorry to come back to this, but I was looking at a few of your responses and even though you think I'm not a "crazy yaoi fantard" you seem to categorize all the slashers as fantards. Not wanting to sound mean, but I feel like I've done something wrong, and it's just an opinion. You seem to put all slashers down, and not all of us slashers are "crazy", for example, me. I completely agree with you. Why do fandoms feel the need to even make up these ridiculous pairings in the first place? It's a CHILDREN'S MOVIE!!! And plus, I don't like yaoi of any kind, so it bugs me that they turn such an innocent and lovable character into...that. =_=
