I wasn't entirely sure what category to submit this in, because the outfit is mine but the photography is U-E's. I eventually settled on this one because it was left it to me to post, and my contribution was the costume itself.
Anyhow!
Kadaj was hell to make. Everything from the shoulder-pads to the little wing-design detailing had to be overly thought out. Its all there, though, even if this picture is more for mood than for showing off the outfit.
I also later redid the wig and shoulder pads to be more accurate, but since this is in darkness you can't tell, anyhow. Heh.
Its ironic that the making of this costume led me to living with U-E, now. Slipping into the skin of someone else is powerful, like that, yo.

Well, where do I start?
Firstly, it's just a pleasant surprise to see costumes instead of artwork from y'all. Secondly, the costume looks like it came from SquarEnix; that it's absolutely professional. Same with the wig. The photo is great, even if it's not showing just how gorgeous the costume is, but is, instead, going for the... general Kadaj-ness of, well, Kadaj. Anyway.... Bravo! I'm really impressed, and, per usual, respectfully envious.

Irony is that I christened my new laptop by watching AC on it last night, hah.
But just so you know, while the outfit is freakin' cool (as the glompage at a convention that wasn't even anime will attribute), I still think you're cooler than Kadaj. Come on. He whiii~nes. (At least he has all his brothers...or knows where to find them.)
Is that the same wig though? It doesn't seem to flow as much there as when I saw it last...
Oh. But. Still dig the sorta-crazy angle...I'm expecting to see Kadaj leaping onto his motorcycle to race away from the brick wall monsters now...

Its the same wig, but I cut it after that shot to make it move more like his did.
He does have some sort of complex, eh? But at least HE knows what he's supposed to be doing for his life. We're still lost. ;-;

Oh, well just so you know, Kadaj is still invited to the wedding. And I'm still being forced to go. -.- Won't be more than five hours but still...ticked...*grar* Drive two hours to spend an hour at the wedding?? Whose idea was that?! *ticked* I think at that rate I'll be quite happy to see Kadaj.

It doesn't sound mean. I'm really looking forward to getting to spend time with you. The way it looks right now, I'll probably stay over Thursday night with Yui, take her to the con on Friday morning, spend Friday night at the con, come back with you Saturday night, and spend Sunday and Sunday night with you, if that is cool.

Yeah, mom said you could come, and I was all, "She's in town on business...I don't really think she'll be able to go." ...that and even _I_ am not interested in going so I wouldn't subject you to it! (Just Sammie. I only need one friend to help me keep my sanity...and I think your time would be better spent at the con anyways.)
Nontheless, the thought of Kadaj at a wedding makes me giggle.
