TDI Tutorial: Dock BackgroundA few people asked me how I draw backgrounds, plus gave me the idea of making a tutorial!
This is kinda how I draw my backgrounds... I usually just, do it, without steps. So I tried to cut it down into steps and stuff.
I used Paint.net and Gimp 2, Paint.net is strongly recommended, but Gimp isn't that important.
Step 5 (comparing) is optional. You can always just expand the blank space somehow.
If you have any questions, ask, but I'm not very good at explaining things.

Ok now if Iām lying Iām crying I want to be a manga artist sooner and have a lot of curiosity in my head like is it easy to draw background by using your imagination? I do have more questions tbh I apologize if that was dumb of me to ask

It's not easy for me that's for sure because I hate drawing backgrounds. Probably easy for someone who likes to draw landscapes and such..

I have both GIMP and Paint. net but never really use them, I may try it at one point or just find a way to apply sort of the same rules in paint tool SAI

Not sure, I was making the tutorial and the background at the same time, so it took a while xP
I think it took about 2 hours.

I;m sorry, last time I checked I thought this was called tracing?

Uhh tracing is when you put paper over the real thing, then trace the lines and stuff. With this I drew the lines myself... Sorta different, last time I checked.
